Yesterday I was sitting in my computer room playing around when I heard "meeeoooow, meeeoooow" I thought to myself "Hmmm, do I hear kittens?" So, I went outside to check it out.

At the end of our deck, there were 6 itty bitty baby kittens! *huge grin*

MaMa cat and the babies went around to the back of the house, so of course I followed! I found them and brought them inside.

Now I'm bottle feeding them. They are just soooooo cute! *smile* The MaMa cat is wild and really doesn't seem to be to upset that I've taken her kids.

There is this one.....he's the runt of the litter. I've taken to him because he's just sooooo ugly that he's cute! *Smile* He has these really big ears and the rest of his body is sooooo small.
He doesn't seem to have much hair either. I make sure I feed him first and when the others have been fed, I feed him the last of what's in the bottle. He already knows that he's "special!" *smile*

For those of you that don't really know me.......
I'm known as the "Crazy Cat Lady" cuz I'm always taking in all the cats around here.
I may not be able to touch them, but I feed them all the time and they know they can eat all day long......and good food too! *Smile*

QP-Sweet Gypsy Rose

This is my "Sweet Gypsy Rose" that I rescued about a year ago. She's not over friendly but still means a lot to me, just like all my other fur babies! *Smile*

I've been trying to make different pages of all my fur babies so I can have a album of them all from years ago till now.

Anyway......I liked the way this one turned out, so thought I'd share the QP for anyone that would like to use it also.

Well it's finally here.....our "Happy Spring" Blog Train. A few of us gals on DWR Yahoo List decided to put together this Blog Train. It may not be "big" but there are lots of "goodies" from each of the designers.

I wasn't going to join this Blog Train at first, but once we decided on the colors to use....well I just couldn't help myself and joined in the fun. *smile* I just love the colors (bright colors and pastel colors) so I ended up making way more things then I should have. Needless to say, I'll be posting some add-ons in the next few days....so be sure to come back and snag if you like. *smile*

Slow To Post

Well.....the other day I came in the computer room to turn on my computer and it did nothing! There was no power to it at all. At first I thought maybe the power supply had gone out, or even the fan as it had been making noise for a year or so. I called my tech and he came by that night to pick it up. As it turned out....my hard drive was failing. There were a few other issues as well, so he replaced those hardware problems too. I feel like I now have a new computer! Needless to say, I have lost some things and am just trying to get what I can re-installed.

Why am I telling you all of this? Because I had done a couple more QP's to share, and lost the previews....so it's going to be a while before I get them up.

Last week we had snow here in "Sunny California".....yes you read correctly....SNOW!!! It was just BEAUTIFUL and I ran out and took a bunch of pictures as well. *smile* This part of CA that I live in gets snow every year, but every years it's always exciting for me just the same. *Smile*
This week has been rain, and now for the past two days sunshine. It's almost like Spring out there. They say we will have more rain this weekend. This is a good thing, because we really need it.

Green Stripes Calendar

OK....so I've not been very good so far at keeping this blog up. Real life seems to get in the way at times. *sigh* I have however made several different things to post, just haven't been able to sit down long enough to upload etc.
Tonight is quiet around here (finally) so thought I'd post this real fast.

I got the idea to put a full years calendar on a QP when a few years ago I had taken the grand kids to have pictures done. The company that I got the picture from also gave me a calendar with all the grand kids. I hung it here in my computer room and used it many times.
So.....I thought I'd make one for this year and see how it looked. It turned out just great when I printed it out. Now I'm sharing it with you all as well. Hope you can find a use for this.

This morning when I got up, I did a few things around the house and then came in to check my email. WOW....what a WONDERFUL surprise I had when I saw a little msg from Joani saying that she was giving me an Award!
WOW.......I just can't believe that I got my second Award ever.

Blue Wonder

I Got My First Award

What a thrill it was this afternoon when I finally got online to check my mail and I had a message saying that I had received an Award! Ooooh my GOSH!!! *huge smile* This soooo made my day!

Thank you TERI soooo much for considering me a "Treasured Friend" and giving me this Award. You'll never know how much this means to me. If I could....I'd give it right back to you, as you have helped me in so many ways these past few weeks. Just know that I honestly appreciate all your help.

I have to admit that I really didn't think many people ever came here to my Blog.

Darker Fringed Frames

The past two days have not been so good for me. *sad face* First off yesterday I took a hard fall down on my knees and OUCH I'm in pain! My one knee is so swollen I can hardly walk. And to top it off it stings really bad and I can't touch it.

Last night I sorta thought I might have to go to ER....but then I changed my mind. I'm not really the type that rushes up to ER for anything. I gotta feel like I'm about to die before I do something like that! *Smile*

THEN............................................................

Two weeks ago, my cat "Ginger" came up missing. At first I just thought she missed dinner that night and would come home the next day. BUT as days went on and she still didn't come home....then all sorts of things of course came to mind.

We have a mountain lion that runs around this area and .... well yes I thought maybe she was a snack for the mountain lion.

BUT then my other cat Gypsy came up missing. I let her out Thurs. afternoon and never saw her again. Then 3 more cats came up missing in between these two. Hmmmmmm.....how could all these cats come up missing at the same time. So, I had our son go to the "Pound aka Animal Control" to see if they were there.

Yep....Ginger and Gypsy were there. The others weren't. Maybe they were but it was to late

Of course I paid to get them out. It cost me several hundreds of dollars to get them out.

Also found out that it was the guy that lives up the road from us that trapped them and took them in. He doesn't like cats.

Mad? You bet I am!!! How would they like it if I took their dog to the pound? Their dog always comes down here to visit and poop in my yard, in front of our mailbox etc. But I just put up with it because I LOVE LOVE LOVE animals and would never harm any of them. And going to "Animal Jail" to me just isn't right.

It really makes me upset how people are so rude now days. It use to be you knew your neighbours and you helped each other out etc. Not any more. Instead, they do nasty things to you. How sad this is.
Anyway....two of my beloved fur babies are home and boy are they glad to be here. I'm scared to let them go outside now cuz of fear those nasty rude people will trap them again.

As promised yesterday, here are the rest of those fringed frames. I'll be making more with more color for stitching on them. I'm having lots of fun playing around with that script I did! *Smile*

Fringed Frames

The other day I decided I was going to figure out how to make my own script in PSP! *smile*
So.....I got busy and did a couple of different things and then decided what one thing do I use the most....FRAMES!!! I'm always looking for frames to use in my Lay Outs! So.....I made this fringe frame. After playing around a bit more with the script I found the code I needed to make the script stop when I wanted so I could add what ever color I wanted. Now the script works like a charm and I have discovered several other things I can do while using that script! *smile*
It just tickles me pink when I discover something new! LOL

I decided that I'd go ahead and share these "fringed frames" with everyone. They are made rather large so you can size them down and they will still look good printed. I have put them into two different zips because of the different colors. I'll share one zip today and then the other zip tomorrow....so if you like them, you will have to come back and get the others.
The preview doesn't show all of them......as everyone knows, I'm not really good at doing my previews so everything looks really nice.....and trying to show all the frames was near impossible for me.....so believe me when I say there are more! *Smile*

I hope you are going over to the Blog that Emma and I have together. I've added a couple of QP's there and have a couple more to add maybe later this week.

So......go snag these frames if you like. Ooooh.....and one more thing, I'd just like to say that for the very few that say "Thank You" I really appreciate it. Well, it's not raining today in "not so sunny California".....but it sure did rain a lot last night! That's OK cuz we really need it. They say (not sure who "they" are) that we are going to have a cold and long winter this year. Good! I can handle the cold much better then the heat. *smile*

Straight Ribbons

A while back I was messing around with a plug-in that I downloaded. I needed to have some ribbons for a layout I was doing, so while I was playing I made up several different ribbons. I figured I'd go ahead and share them here as well in case there is any that you can use. The preview doesn't show all of them. There are plain ones as well as ones with designs on them. I've made the dpi at 300, so if they are to short you can just stretch them out to fit.

Useful PSP XI Tip

Have you ever wondered where to put those different files like "Brushes, Masks, Frames etc?" Well, in older versions of PSP it was very simple....you had folders already with these names. BUT, when PSP XI came out Corel changed all of this "easy to figure out folders" to a numerical system. Well, because of this very confussing way, I just haven't really bothered to add new files etc to PSP XI. Now that I have found this VERY useful information I will for sure be using it.
This morning as I was looking around at different blogs, I came upon one that had some useful PSP tips. So that I won't loose these tips, I'm posting them here.

A Little Freebie

I know I haven't been posting much these past months. It's not cuz I haven't been doing any scrap booking 'cuz I have. In fact, I've been working on all kinds of different things to share!
Right now it's our race season, and I've been having to keep up with the bookkeeping that goes along with those races. BUT....today I was able to take a break and upload a little freebie for everyone. I haven't had a chance to make a QP using this kit....maybe I'll be able to do that later this week.

Here is a preview of some of what is in this "Greens R In" kit. Please feel free to take and do as you want with the elements, papers etc. that are included in the zip files.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter this past weekend. It seems like Easter just came way to soon this year, and I wasn't really ready for it. Just the same though....ours was a good one. Spent the day with kids and grand kids! *Smile*

Ever So Pink Quick Page

I would like to start off with saying Thank You to everyone that has taken the time to leave comments on 4shared when you download the different files that Emma or I have shared with you. I speak for both of us when I say we really appreciate those comments. Being new to all of this, it really touches our hearts to see those kind words.

I'd also like to make a comment about making comments on 4shared.......I think that a lot of times as we are looking for freebies we look at some of the older posts and figure they are old so no one will even know that a comment was posted, so why bother. Well, I don't think that really holds true. I know that I always look to see when the last download was and if there was a comment made and then of course I read those comments. *smile* I think that others that offer Freebies also may take a look to see just what activity is going on.

This picture of our granddaughter is what inspired me to make this kit.

For the past year now, I have been planning out different pictures that I want to use for a memory book to give to her one day. This of course was long before I had started to make my own layouts etc. I was working on this memory book on Snapfish. Well, since I started they have changed things on their site and a lot of my pictures are missing. So, I have to start all over again. *sigh* I think this time I'll be using my own layouts and just use them to print the book for me.

I'd LOVE to hear any suggestions you may have on my layouts. Maybe some idea's on what I could do to make each page a bit different.

Just Bows & Beads!!!

I always seem to need bows for my layouts. So, while I was working on a couple of layouts, I made a few extra different colors. It seems when I'm working on a layout I always have several different colors to see what looks the best with what I'm doing. Well, instead of just deleting them I figured I'd go ahead and post them here in case someone else is like me and just "has to have" a bunch of different bows in all sorts of colors! *Smile*

Silver - QP

This is a picture of a cat I rescued a few years back. He was very sick and I had to keep him caged for a few months. I didn't think he would ever come back after I set him free....but he seems to remember what I did for him, and shows up every so often to say "Hello."

Sad News

I haven't felt like doing much these past couple of days.
Friday night I had a phone call telling me that a friend of mine had had a stroke and was not expected to make it through the weekend. He passed away yesterday (Sat.) afternoon.

The top photo is of my friend (Mark) and the bottom photo is of Mark and two other guys that we all ran around with back when we were kids.
These photos were taken in March of 2005. Mark hadn't see the other two guys in at least 15 years or better. I had hunted the two guys down and made arrangments for all of us to get together! *Smile*
On the left is Willie and on the far right is Tom. (They are brothers)
Who would have thought that this would be the last time those three would ever see each other again.

Will miss my buddy Mark.

New QP

I haven't been to good at posting here like I said I was going to do.

It seems that "real life" just gets in the way at times!

Last week my friend Emma and I were chatting and I asked her if

she would take some of my things I had made and

make a QP for me.

The picture above is of the QP she did.

I provided her with everything you see in this pix.

These are the same things I used in my layout I did of our grandson.

I love seeing how everyone does different LO's using

all the same backgrounds/papers, elements etc.

Thank you so much Emma for taking the time to do this for me.

I would love to share this kit with anyone that would like it,

but because I'm soooooo NEW to all of this

I just don't feel real comfortable in doing so.

Maybe one day I'll feel that I'm good enough to go public and

give back to those out there that has given

freebies.

Lost Everything

Well....it looks as if I'll not be doing any layouts any time soon. I had moved ALL my photos I've taken over the past 4-5 years to a external hard drive along with my tubes that I use to make tags. Well, yesterday I went to grab a photo for a new layout AND guess what??? My computer couldn't recognize that hard drive for some reason. I finally figured out that the computer was trying to name that external HD the same drive letter as what was used for a networking set up. Up till last night, I've been able to use all my files over on that hard drive. Now when I click on the HD letter, it wants to format. I'm just heartbroken over all of this. I'm talking ALL photos of grand kids, cats, dog, family, races you name it...they are gone. I hope that I still have some of those photos on my memory cards for my different cameras. As for my tubes...well I'm sure I can get a new collection in no time! *Smile* I'm still upset that I've lost them of course because I've been collecting those for about 10 years! So, for now.....I am not feeling like messing around on here or in PSP.

Baby Blu - Quick Page

Here is the layout I wrote about a few days ago that I've been working on.

The picture is of our grandson.

He was 14 months in this picture.

Boy oh boy has he changed! *smile*

He's now 22 months.

His mom and I had fun this one day messing around with that rose

that he has in his hand. *smile*

I have also made this into a QP if anyone would like to snag it.

Have you ever done something while making a layout and

then can't remember how you did it?

Well....that seems to be the case for me all the time!!!

Everything I make (or so it seems!)....

it could be a frame, or say like those

stars in this layout, ribbons etc..... I can't seem to remember how I got

the effects. *sigh*

If I were to sit here and write down every move I made, I'd have a

TON of paper all over my desk! *Smile*

AND...believe me.....I don't need any more paper on my desk!

So, I have decided that I'll just be happy with what

ever it is I come up with, save it

and not worry about trying to ever do it again! LOL

Seems like the easiest way for me! *Smile*

I bought PSP X2 a while back. It doesn't seem to like

my computer to well.

It runs really slow. *sigh*

I tend to go back to using PSP 8 or 9 only because

they both run so much faster for me.

It seems like each version of PSP has something new/good

that makes me want to have them

ALL installed so I don't miss out on anything! LOL

Well.....that's about all I have to share for right now.

I have made some ribbons, buttons, and frames that I want to

put on here....but that's going to have to wait for now.

Quick Page # 1

I was fooling around the other night in one of my versions of PSP. I think maybe I was in PSPX2 cuz I just got it. I really wanted to just see how it would work on this computer. This is the layout I came up with.

The little girl in this picture is our granddaughter. She was in a dance show and had to have make up on. So, I took her to the salon and had it done professionally. The bottom picture on the left is her dad (our son) and her 1/2 baby brother.

In all of my filters that I have collected over the years, I found one that would make the film strips that I used in this layout.

Tonight when I went outside, I had a "cute" little surprise! *Smile* Under the small deck I saw 4 little eyes looking at me. As I looked a bit closer......I saw two little raccoons! They were just darling. I think they were waiting for the cats to get done eating so they could get what was left. Of course, I wished that I had my camera with me so I could have taken pictures. Now I know why the dog is always running out of the house when I open the door and heads right for that small deck! *Smile* By the time he gets there I'm sure those little Raccoons are long gone! I'm sure they will be back and I'll try to get some photos of them.

My little skunks are back again too. They are BOLD! They just come up here on the deck and eat up all that cat food. LOL They don't even care that I'm standing out there looking at them. I'll have to remember next time to take my camera with me so I can get more pictures of them. I think these two skunks are the same two that came to eat last summer. I've had to put up with them almost every night since.....that's why I think it's the same ones.

Going to go upload the next layout and QP.

Another New QP

I made this QP a few days ago. I thought it would be interesting to add some "Sparkle" to a page for a change.

It snowed here in Sunny California that's now so "sunny" right now! *Smile* It was beautiful of course, but was gone by the morning. I'm sure we will have more real soon. Just hope it comes during the day instead of the night. Of course, it's fun to wake up in the morning to find it all "white" outside too. *Smile*

The New Year is just about here. I'll be sooooo glad to say good-bye to 2007 and hope that 2008 will be much better.

Our race season will start in April and then I'll be busy running races and such. I sorta hope our winter lasts a bit longer this coming year so we can't race till the weather is better. Of course, I wish for this every year! *Smile* Starting so soon in the year always makes the race season just way to long. And then of course we have different problems along the way that has to do with some of the racers etc. and that makes the season seem even longer as well. With some of the changes that are going to take place this coming year/season, I hope 2008 will turn out to be one of our better race seasons.

Well....that's about all I have to say for tonight so guess I'll get this posted and go play a bit in PSP and see what I can come up with next.

Trying Something Different

Well.....I've been rather busy the past several days. I decided I wanted to try a few new things, so sat down to see what I could come up with.

First....I made another Quick Page for the Christmas Exchange that I'm in. This one is way different from any of the others I've done so far. I made everything myself and was surprised at what all I came up with.

While I was working on that QP, I also did the "Gold Merry Christmas" at the top of this page. There's a link in the "title" to download it if you want it.

I've been also working on how to make "Gems" and other types of things. I've decided that because all these "creators" out there are so "picky" about what you can and can't do with "their" stuff, I'm just going to learn to make my own. I always read their TOU's and at times am unsure of what they are saying I can and can't do....so rather then making someone mad....I'll do my own and then it doesn't matter! *Smile*

We are going to have a very quiet Christmas here this year. It will be just hubby, our son, his daughter and myself. Our sons GF and baby will be with her family once again this year. She always goes to her grandma's house for Christmas. Being a parent and a grandparent myself, I can understand her family wanting her with them....and that's fine with us. Sure wouldn't want to stand in the way of family!

It's been cold here in California. Still no snow yet. Maybe one of these years I'll finally get my "White Christmas." I've only wished for it since I was a small child. Where I live, we use to have snow all the time as I was growing up. As years have gone by, the snow level has gotten higher and higher and now we hardly ever get snow here. Well....we get a little, but never for Christmas. Usually it comes a week before or a week after. *sigh* Like I said, maybe some day! *Smile*

Well....guess that's about all that's been going on around here. Seems like there's more, but I can't seem to think of anything right now. So guess I'll get going.

Been At It Again!

So.....today I decided that I was going to figure out how to make a few things on my own! I had the whole house to myself and was in the mood to play....so that's just what I did! *Smile*

I made everything on this LO except for the background paper. I know....it's nothing to write home to mom about, but I had fun and that's what this is all about...isn't it? *grin"

I have searched high and low on the net to find tutorials that will tell me how to make everything that I'd like to use in a LO.....haven't really had much luck at all. When I ask people where to look, they always tell me to go to the different scrap booking stores and usually those tuts are for Photoshop instead of PSP. So, I got to thinking....this has to be a lot like making tags or stationery. I've been doing both for years now so figured I'd use some of the knowledge I have from my tag and stat making days and just apply it to scrap booking. After all, it all is about the same concept as far as I can see. Needless to say, this is what I came up with. Not thrilled with it, but I proved to myself that I CAN do it!!! To be able to prove this to myself is the most important thing.

Next I'm going to work on something not about Christmas. I have tons and tons of pictures of our granddaughter and grandson....I want to use their pictures next to make some layouts. After I get them done, I'd like to have some scrapbooks printed up to give to their parents. Of course, I have this feeling this is going to take me a long time to get done seeing how I'm making everything myself.

OK....so this was my day of playing! Tomorrow I'm going to start something else.

Trying New Things

Well....I sure haven't been to good at coming here and posting. Every night I think about it and by the time it gets quiet around here I'm tired and that's the end of my plans! *sigh*

A couple of days ago I was once again just messing around in PSP to see what types of effects I could come up with. I would use a pre-set shape and then try each effect. These hearts are one of the many different things I did the other day. Maybe one day I'll get around to uploading some of the others things I've been working on.

This one group that I'm in (Design With Renee') is having another QP Exchange. I can't wait to get started on some new QP's. The last Exchange we did, was my very first QP. The one QP I had done took me about two weeks to finally get done! I think this time will be easier for me. I have figured out that it's easier to start by making my own template and then add the background and elements. I need to see things in steps I guess. So, first I do my template where I want shapes and frames for the pictures, and then go from there. I already have an idea in my mind on what I'm going to be doing for this next Exchange.

I've been trying to sort through all of my files and get them in folders and then onto CD's. Been working on this project for ages!!! I took a break from working on this for a few days....started to get really burnt out.

It's starting to be more like winter around here. Every morning our deck now has ice on it. I feel so sorry for those cats that are out there. I wish I had a place they could go to keep warm.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I'm not!!! I use to be really good about doing my Christmas shopping all year long so I wouldn't have to deal with all the last minute shoppers. But the past few years I put off that shopping for as long as I can. I pretty much already know what I'm getting everyone. I just have to go and get these gifts. Maybe this week I'll do that.

Well....that's about all I have to talk about right now. I'll try to make some more pictures of some of the other things I've been making and get them uploaded here this week. It will be fun to come back here one day and look at what I was doing! *Smile*

Element Done

OK....so my friend sent me a tutorial that she was going to try doing to make her own pre-set shape/element in PSP. I decided that I was going to give the tutorial a try myself. Here is my results.

I thought it was going to be harder to do, and was very pleased when I discovered it wasn't hard at all. In fact, it only took me at the most 3 minutes to do this.

So....what do you think???

OK.....I'm going to go back to working on a web site that I'm trying to create. After I work on that a bit I'll see what other things I can do in PSP and post them here.

A bit about this photo: This is one of the feral cats that I feed. Her name is "Cali Girl" thus the title of the photo. Cali Girl was a very young mama last year and decided she was going to have her babies under a chair, in a box on my deck. What a wonderful surprise it was one day when I went to go outside and I could hear those babies crying. *huge grin* Cali Girl allowed me to handle her babies. She even allowed me to touch her, only cuz she was busy feeding the kids.
As the babies grew I guess she decided that having them right there near the door wasn't such a good idea. Everyone that came to the door would see them and of course want to touch them. So, one day she moved them. *sad face* BUT....that didn't stop me from making at least friends with them! *Smile*

Cali Girl of course once away from that box and front door would never let me touch her again. I still look after her but from a distance.

This picture of her that I put in the contest was done with my new Canon Rebel Xti Camera. She was sitting at the end of the little deck looking after her babies and I couldn't pass up the chance to snap the shot! *Smile* So.....that's how that picture came about.

I Did It!

OK so I've been trying to write this now for a couple of days. I'll get started and then something takes me away from here and then all my ideas are gone! *Smile*

If you haven't already noticed by the songs that I have picked, I love that good 'ol Rock 'n Roll! Like they say "Rock 'n Roll will never die!" Boy isn't that the truth!

The other day I decided that I was going to learn how to make my own kits and elements. So I spent hours reading tutorials and trying different things. I think I have it pretty well all figured out, now to just spend the time to really make something that goes together. For some reason I tend to start out with "Pink" as the color for a kit. I'm not real sure why pink is the color cuz really I favor black and gold! *smile* It must just be a easy color for me to work with.

Here is a little sample of a few things I made.

Now that our race season is over, I have a bit more time to learn some of these things I've been wanting to learn. Racing season will start up next year way to soon for my liking and then I won't be able to spend much time playing around with all this stuff. I'd like to make a layout with "racing" as the theme. I have some photos of the "Harvest Race" that I'd like to use. Also some of our son with his trophies. One day these kids will look back on these pictures and say "Boy, mom sure did take a lot of pictures!" *Smile* Hopefully they will be glad that I made them stand there while I took those pictures!

I'm having a bit of problems with this blogger right now. I wanted to upload another picture and it's just not letting me. Guess I'll have to try it again later.

Well.....I'm going to get going. There's a few other things I need to get done and my day is flying past me.

Monday Quick Page

Today when I got up I decided that I was going to once again try to make a layout all on my own.

I had read on someones blog that they always make a template of their layout before they add the background, elements and photos. It sounded like a really good idea to me, so I gave it a try. It was soooooooooo much easier this way! I don't think I'll ever go back to doing it where I just try to get everything on the page and move them around. Making a template first seemed to help me see just what everything was going to look like. Of course, I didn't have any idea what colors I wanted to use. That came later.

On this QP I made my own ribbon from a tutorial I had found. The background and one of the elements that I used came from a couple of kits I got from Janni Scrap Designs. I feel real proud of myself for knowing just where I got everything! *Smile* I have such a mess when it comes to kits that I have collected over the months. I never really thought about the fact that I should be keeping track of who made what, so I would unzip the kits and then put them in folders like "backgrounds, tags, elements, bows etc." By doing this way it has made it very hard for me to really know who made what and I feel bad that I can't always give proper credit to the designers. Oh well.....live and learn I guess.

Another New Lay Out

Well, today was a pretty good day for me. I got a lot of housework done and then was able to come into the computer room to do a few different things.

I decided that I was going to make myself sit down and make another layout. I didn't really have anything in mind when I started but ended up making one of our trip to Disneyland last Halloween. I've been wanting to do these pictures of our trip for ages and today just seemed like a good day to start.

Tonight we have our grand daughter. We were to have her a couple of nights ago, but decided to just take her for the weekend. Her and PaPa are going to go to the dump in the morning, then out to lunch. She always enjoys going with her PaPa! *Smile*

Well, guess I best get to bed. I have a feeling I'll be having a very busy day a head of me.

Playing Around

OK...so I'm not really all that good at keeping this blog up. I guess that's cuz I'm just not sure what all to write here.

Tonight I decided I was going to see how 4Shared works and got my own account to upload some of the LO's and QP's I have made. I figure it's a good idea to have a backup of things some place else as well.

So....the first file I have uploaded is the All Pink QP that I made.
I mainly did this for myself just so one day I can look back and remember all the time I spent on these things! *smile*
Just remember, I'm a "Newbie" at all of this so it's not really all that great. But heck, I sure had a good time playing around with this QP.

I have been trying to burn CD's the past few days. I haven't gotten to far on it cuz "everyone" keeps calling me and I loose track of where I am. I want certain files on each CD so it will be easier for me to find things later. Like everything else that I get started in, this too is going to take a long time to get done!

Not much else going on around here. Guess I'll get back to what I was doing. Will try to write again in a few days.

Another Layout

OK....so I decided that I was going to once again try to make another layout and quick page. I don't know why but I keep heading for "Pink!" *smile*

Anyway I spent...... I don't know ... a hour or so working on this layout/quick page. For some reason, I feel it needs something else added, but I'm not sure what it is that is needed. This sure isn't like card making! It's a real challenge for me to do this new craft.

I have to admit, I really had a fun time making this layout and I was even smart and saved a blank QP in case I want to use it again! *clapping hands*

The pictures used are of our granddaughter last year at Thanksgiving. We had gone down to see my cousin and her granddaughter was there. The two girls got along sooo well together. I hope as years go on, they will remain friends and in touch with each other. I think "family ties" are very important.

Well, that's about all I have to chat about tonight. I think I'm going to find my way to bed. I've been staying up way to late these pass few weeks and it's starting to catch up to me.

Tried Something New Last Night

For the past year or so I have have been collecting different
digi-scrapbooking kits.

I have seen all these really GREAT creations people have done.
I thought to myself
"this would be something fun to try with all my pictures."

Of course,
I have NO clue how they have done these different layouts and quick pages.
So, on the hunt I went to find out just how to do all this stuff!
It hasn't been very easy to find info on this subject.
I'll have to keep searching I guess.

I decided that if I can't figure out how to "make" these layouts and elements,
I'd try my hand at doing something else.
I first decided I'd take a few pictures that I have
and figure out just how to get them in those quick pages!
That was easy!!!
Next I wanted to figure out just HOW you make those quick pages yourself.
Again, on the hunt I went to find this info out.
Of course, I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Then last night, I was reading some of my "List" email,
and the owner of a scrapbooking list has been kind enough
to write tutorials for all of us Newbies.
She wrote one on just the subject I was looking for!
"How to make your own quick pages!!!"

So, late last night I tried it.

It was much easier then I thought it would be.
I'm still having a bit of trouble with figuring out how to do the size to begin with.
They say you want these to be 12 x 12,
but in PSP I'm not real clear on how to set the page to be that size to begin with.
I'll keep working at it.
This is something I want sooooooo
badly to do and nothings going to get me down! *Smile

OK.....I think that's all my news for today.
I'm going to go "play" some more and see what else I can learn to do.
Ooooooh....this is just soooo much fun!

My First Post

Well.....I think after reading all the help sections here I may have gotten this set up finally!

We will see once I save it and post it. To be honest....

I have NO clue what I'm doing! LOL

I plan on posting different blogs that have good digi-scrapbooking kits for FREE.

There of course may be some that you have to pay for, but I'll try to limit those.

I also plan to post links to sites where they

have good tutorials on making your

own quick pages, scrapbook kits, elements etc.

These will be for PSP.

I have joined a Yahoo Group that I think is going to be really good.

The gal writes different tutorials on how to do all the different

scrapbooking things that us Newbies wantta know!

I'm sooo excited tonight because I was able to make my very

first Quick Page all on my own!

I know, this sounds stupid, but I really didn't know how to do this on my own.

Heck, I didn't even know how to get a picture into a pre-made quickpage.

So...for me to learn both of those things in one day I feel really good! *Smile*

I don't know how often I'll come here to post.

That will of course depend on the time I have and what I find

while I'm out searching for new sites.

I hope to do better then I have in the past at keeping this

blog up.

Well, that's about all for me right now. I'm going to go

post this and see what it looks like.
